Beyond Other Worlds is a collection of Five Science Fiction Short Stories that illustrate the divergent substantiality of the human condition. These Stories expose traditional, political, scientific, historical, theoretical, and spiritual dimensions embedded in man’s psyche, and how the different characters in each story adapt to their circumstances, struggling to reach their goals. This book is a microcosm of today’s realities brought about by different present circumstances, in which each story’s settings are the result of present conditions in the near or far future in man’s evolutionary culture.
Waiting for Summer - Man’s Quest for Technology is shrouded in secrets brought about by political powers. Man has long been mystified by Alien technology, and how it could benefit the human race. This story revolves around those who pursue technology with selfish intentions and those who would oppose them. This story is about the merging of the Capability of the Human Mind and Alien technology, which could bring about the cure for man’s technological adolescence.
Flower in the Desert - brings the reader to the far future, where genetically modified individuals have been enhanced to adapt to the different mined planets. Humans have made colonies on these planets, bringing with them their ancient Earth traditions, religion, and customs, that shape their societies. After hundreds of years humans have left the dying Earth for resource-rich planets, Human nature still stays the same.
Dark Moon China - was written to have a fearless view of the future of today’s dominant rising country. The Middle Kingdom has dominated its smaller neighbors and the Western powers have reacted militarily. It has Built a Lunar base to further expand its borders and do scientific experiments beyond the reach of Earth’s international laws, and draw a thick curtain to blind its foreseen political foes.
Pirates - Brings the reader to a time when Interplanetary mining is a major human endeavor. The vastness of Space is a frontier where the lawless thrive, yet in the midst of ordinary thievery of precious metals, there lies a deeper search in every person’s heart. The Human loneness to obtain what really matters becomes the strength for faith, hope, and the meaning of interstellar Love.
Midnight Sun - was written as a reflection of man’s greed and selfish gain at the expense of the many. Set in the not-so-far future, manifest the resilience of the human spirit to survive against overwhelming odds in a cold inhospitable part of the world. It brings the reader to a vast white world where the snow is never ending, deep ancient crevasses, and the sun sweeps across the horizon, never fading its light, making lack of sleep a dangerous weapon. Lust and betrayal lead those who are lacking righteous virtue, and a man’s action always comes back to haunt him.
